Support Schedule
The 天美传媒官网 Brightspace Instructional Technologists are available for support between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. Any emails received after 4 PM will be addressed when our team returns to normal support at 8 AM the following business day. While we鈥檙e out, we encourage you to utilize our On-Demand Resources to answer any questions that arise.
Brightspace has a third party similarity checker called聽Turnitin. This tool allows instructors to choose whether or not to run student submissions through a program that checks for similarity to other written text, generates feedback for students on revision strategies, and serves as a general online platform for instructors to provide electronic feedback to students. You can聽. Instructors must enable Turnitin for each assignment. It鈥檚 not possible to enable Turnitin for an entire course.
If you would like to use Turnitin for an individual student submission that is not associated with a Brightspace assignment, please contact Brightspace support directly.

Enable Turnitin on an assignment
1. In your course, go to the assignment and choose Edit Assignment. If this is a new assignment, move on to Step 2.
2. On the edit page, expand the area titled Evaluation and Feedback. Click on the link to聽Manage Turnitin.
3. A window will open. At the least you must check the box to Enable Similarity Report聽for this folder. You can also select聽Enable Online Grading聽for this folder if you want to use Turnitin to grade submissions. Make whatever selections you require, and click聽Save聽at the bottom.
4. The window will close. Verify that your changes were made, then click Save and Close.
5. You鈥檒l see a new symbol displayed by your assignment now, when viewing your assignment list. This indicates that Turnitin has been enabled.
