The Program in Quantitative and Chemical Biology has new leadership. Tina Iverson<\/a>, Pharmacology, will assume the role of director from Hassane Mchaourab<\/a>, Molecular Physiology & Biophysics, who served as director since 2015.<\/p>\n

The QCB Program<\/a> was established more than 15 years ago by Al Beth and Dave Piston. Originally called the Chemical and Physical Biology Program, the QCB program allows high-achieving graduate students the opportunity to conduct research at the interface of biology and chemistry, physics, engineering or mathematics. It exists as a counterpart to the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program\u00a0<\/a>(IGP), a sister Ph.D.-training program designed for students who come from life sciences backgrounds.<\/p>\n
