Katherine&#8217;s\u00a0research focuses on a novel DNA repair mechanism that protects against abasic sites \u2014 a highly abundant and toxic form of DNA damage<\/p>\n<p>Vanderbilt Prize Student Scholars usually are recognized during the presentation of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹ÙÍø Prize.
