Vanderbilt takes hazing prevention seriously and trains student leaders and participating students in student organizations, Greek organizations, NCAA teams, and intramurals/club sports on hazing prevention strategies. Ways to Report Hazing

  • File a Report with Student Accountability
    • Any concerns of hazing should be reported by using the . Reporters are asked to provide as much detail as is known about the incident, including the organization/persons involved, the nature of the hazing alleged to have occurred, specific dates/times/locations, and any supporting evidence (pictures, videos, messages) to substantiate the allegations.
    • Reports of hazing are investigated by Student Accountability, Community Standards & Academic Integrity. Student Accountability reviews all reports of hazing and, if sufficient information exists, investigates the reported matters. Details such as the name of the organization, date, location, and time of the hazing, description of the activities, and any supporting evidence like messages, photos, or videos help provide sufficient information and allow for in-depth investigations. Student Accountability may utilize campus resources or other offices to confirm or refute allegations. Student Accountability may meet with new members, current members, leaders, alumni, advisors, witnesses, or other impacted parties to take statements and ask investigative questions.

    RealResponse is a secure reporting system that supports real-time, anonymous communication via the RealResponse web platform. Vanderbilt's University Compliance Services Team uses RealResponse so individuals can submit concerns and receive follow‑up information or resources while keeping their identity protected, if they choose.

    Reports may be submittedÌýanonymouslyÌý´Ç°ùÌýconfidentially.

    • Anonymous Report:Ìýincludes no identifying information and cannot be traced to the reporter.
    • Confidential Report: includes the reporter’s identity, which is protected but may be disclosed when required by law, to address health or safety concerns, or to comply with obligations such as Title IX or the Clery Act. Please consider these limits when choosing a reporting option.

    ¶Ù´ÇÌýnotÌýuse this system to report emergencies or situations posing an immediate threat to life or property. Reports submitted here may not receive an immediate response. For emergency assistance, contact local authorities.
