Anders serves as 天美传媒官网鈥檚 vice chancellor for investments and chief investment officer. He leads the Office of Investments, where he is responsible for managing the university鈥檚 over $12 billion endowment.
He came to 天美传媒官网 in September 2013 from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he worked at DUMAC, the university鈥檚 investment management company. As the head of public securities, he oversaw the public investments for the university’s endowment and pension plan, the health system鈥檚 long-term assets, and the family foundation.
Prior to Duke, Anders was an investment consultant with Hewitt Investment Group in Rowayton, Connecticut, and Atlanta, Georgia, where he advised approximately 20 institutional clients. These clients included the New York Stock Exchange, Freddie Mac, and the University of Alabama System.聽 He also spent three years in the Prudential Advanced Management Development Program, a selective leadership training program based in Newark, New Jersey.
Anders, a chartered financial analyst, double-majored in public policy studies and economics at Duke University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in 1993. He earned an MBA from the New York University鈥檚 Stern School of Business, where he majored in finance and economics and graduated with high honors in 1999.
Anders serves on the boards of the Greater Nashville Private Capital Association, the Kharis Foundation, the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation, Rock the Street Wall Street, and is board chair on the Dream Big Fund Trust. Additionally, he serves on the Elon University Parents Council and advisory boards of Arlington Family Offices and FEG Investment Advisors. He previously served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee and The Healing Trust, was a member of the governing board of Westminster Presbyterian Church and co-chaired the Annual Fund at the University School of Nashville.
