The University Counseling Center supports the mental health needs of students, developing treatment plans tailored to each individual, as well as emphasizing prevention, education and collaboration.

Wednesday April 15th Hours of Operation Update

The UCC will be CLOSED Wednesday, April 15th from 10:30am-2pm for a staff training event. There will be no student access to the building during this time. The doors will unlock at 1:55pm for scheduled appointments as normal.

If you are in need of urgent care support during this time, please call 615-322-2571 and press 1 to be connected to an on-call counselor. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Individual Counseling

Our counselors use different strategies to help students address a wide range of life circumstances, and work collaboratively to determine treatment goals.

Psychiatric Care

The UCC has psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners available by appointment for psychiatric evaluation and medication management services.

Group Therapy and Workshops

Both groups and workshops offer a supportive and affirming space for students to discuss challenges and build connections.

Psychological Assessments

Formal diagnostic assessment of concerns affecting cognition and academic performance, including but not limited to assessment of attention and learning disorders.
