How to Setup Your Mobile Commodore Card

Class of 2030 will be able to setup your mobile Commodore Card on July 1.

  1. Have a photo submitted聽and approved
    • If you already have a valid Commodore Card and photo on file, please continue reading.
  2. Open the Settings app on your phone, and use the search function for聽NFC.
    1. NFC must be enabled for this to work.
  3. Please follow instructions to setup multi-factor authentication with聽.
  4. , install, and open the聽GET logo聽app [GET Mobile聽in the app store]
    1. [Allow to track your location]
  5. Tap on聽add ID
  6. Follow the steps to add your Commodore Card to your phone.

  • What is the Commodore Card Mobile Credential?

    Your Commodore Card on your Android device works anywhere you use your plastic card. Add your Commodore Card to your Android device using the聽.

  • What do I need to get started?
    • The latest version of the聽聽for adding your Commodore Card to Android devices.
    • 聽to confirm identity and generate secure passwords.
    • Ensure that your handset has NFC and it is enabled for use.
  • How do I add my CARD to GET?
    • Go to the Google Play Store on smartphone聽
      • Get the CBORD GET Mobile app
        • Select the School 鈥� 天美传媒官网
        • Login w/User ID & password
        • Complete the Duo authentication
        • Create a PIN
        • Once you open the GET app you will see 鈥淎dd Mobile ID to device鈥�.
  • How do I download the GET Mobile app?

    From the Play Store on your Android device, search聽聽 The app is called聽聽on the Play Store 鈥� download the app on your Android device.

  • On how many devices can I use my Student ID for Android?

    You can use your student ID card on one device. Mobile Commodore Cards on Android wearables are not supported at this time. You cannot use the mobile Commodore Card on both iOS and Android devices at the same time.

  • I am not having success adding my Commodore Card to my Android device. Who can help me?

    Contact the Commodore Card office at 615-322-2273 or email commodorecard@vanderbilt.edu Business hours are Monday 鈥� Friday 8:30 am 鈥� 4:00 pm.聽

  • What happens if I lose my Android device? If, I find it afterwards?
    • During Commodore Card Office hours (8:30 鈥� 4:00 pm) contact the Commodore Card office at 615-322-2273 to notify us to deactivate the card on your Android device.
    • Log into your Google account and under Security you will see your devices. You can remove the device you lost.
  • What happens if I get a new Android device?
    • You should first remove your device from your Google account.
    • Once your old phone is removed, you can add your new device by using the GET app.聽
  • If I have a passcode on my phone, will I have to enter it every time?
    • You will only have to enter your PIN number once for per day in the GET app. Use the device near a reader anywhere physical ID cards are accepted.
  • If I have provisioned and I get an error message on the GET app that says: 鈥淢obile ID Installed鈥� (not ready)
    • Check application permissions for the app. To see permissions, press and hold the GET Mobile app, select App info from the popup and in the list should be Permissions. You can select that to get details. All permissions should be set to 鈥渆nabled鈥�.
  • Can I use student ID on Android devices if my phone has a dead battery?

    聽No 鈥� you will need to charge your phone to use your student ID on Android devices.

  • Can I use Commodore Card with the Android device without cellular signal?

    Commodore Card on Android devices can be used even if does not have network connectivity, as the Commodore Card is stored on your device. If you are having any difficulty using your Commodore Card to complete a transaction, report any issues to the Commodore Card Office at聽commodorecard@vanderbilt.edu聽or call 615-322-2273 so we can investigate.

  • Does it cost anything?

    There is no cost to use your student ID card on your Android device.

  • Do I have to have a photo?

    Yes, an approved photo is required for eligibility.

  • Is this just for students?

    Faculty, staff, and students are eligible if they meet all device and software requirements.

  • How do I use Commodore Card or Meal Money on my account from my phone?

    The same way you have always used your plastic card -- simply tap the reader with your Android device instead of your card.

  • Will it work with off-campus merchants?

    Yes, you can use your Android device at off-campus merchant locations where your plastic card is accepted.

  • Why isn't my Physical Plastic Card working?

    Your phone will work just like the physical card did. It works for door access, dining locations, the student rec center, food trucks, events, Barnes and noble,聽 and Taste of Nashville locations. If you prefer the plastic card you can go to the GET app and flag it 鈥渇ound鈥�. This will disable the mobile credential. If you do provision your phone your card will still work at vending locations, the transit bus system,聽package lockers,聽and for printing.
