The main goal of the Exchange Visitor Program is to promote international educational and cultural exchange to develop mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and other countries. ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹ÙÍø services three types of J-1 scholars: students interns, research scholars, and professors. Tenure-track or on-going staff positions are not eligible for these J-1 categories. Below is an overview of the process of inviting a J-1 exchange visitor to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹ÙÍø.
