Scooter
A number of e-scooter companies聽operate in Nashville. These vehicles聽can provide a flexible off-campus聽mobility option for the campus聽community, but commercial scooter聽deployment, riding, and parking is聽currently prohibited at nearly all聽on-campus locations.
To take a ride on one of these聽scooters, download the company’s app,聽link a credit card to pay for rides, and聽use the in-app map to find the closest聽scooter. Most likely, the closest scooter聽will be found just outside the edge of聽the campus deployment boundary.
When planning a route to your聽destination, keep in mind that the motor聽on commercial scooters will turn off聽when entering the campus boundary.
If returning to campus via scooter, plan聽to end your trip before entering the聽campus boundary, and be thoughtful聽about where you place the scooter.聽Make sure not to block paths or access聽points to any facilities.
Riding personal scooters is allowed on-campus, but the batteries in these devices present an increased fire risk. As such, members of the campus community are prohibited from bringing e-scooters or their batteries into campus buildings or residence halls for charging or storage.
