Postdoctoral Research Associate in Bioengineering and Medical Devices

The Dong Laboratory at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹ÙÍø invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position supported by a newly funded NIH grant. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and preclinical translation of next-generation implantable medical devices and medical robotic systems for minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, fabricate, and characterize innovative medical devices
  • Perform bench-top testing and device validation
  • Conduct small-animal and large-animal preclinical studies in collaboration with clinicians and veterinary staff
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare manuscripts for high-impact journals
  • Assist in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students

Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Robotics, or a closely related field. Experience in medical device development, preclinical animal studies, medical robotics, soft robotics, device prototyping, or translational biomedical research is highly desirable.
