Join us for the Residential College Symposium! We offer flexible pricing options to accommodate different attendee types and registration timelines.

Symposium Registration Policies

  • Group Registration Discount

    The Residential College Society currently does not offer group registration for the Residential College Symposium.

  • Important Notice

    Please note: The Residential College Symposium may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, registration fees will be refunded; however, the Residential College Society and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹ÙÍø will not be responsible for additional costs, charges or expenses, including cancellation/change fees assessed by airlines, hotels and/or travel agencies. The Residential College Society and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹ÙÍø will not reimburse registration fees for weather, travel-related delays or cancellations or other circumstances outside of the symposium's control that prevent an attendee from traveling to the event.

  • Meals

    Select meals are included with your registration. Attendees are responsible for any meals not provided by the symposium.

    The included meal schedule is as follows:

    Wednesday, October 21

    • Afternoon: Refreshment break (pre-symposium institute participants only)
    • Evening: Reception with appetizers

    Thursday, October 22

    • Afternoon: Lunch
    • Evening: Cohort social hour with light refreshments

    Friday, October 23

    • Afternoon: Lunch–served as grab and go or stay and eat
  • Payment Policies

    Registration fees must be paid online in advance of the symposium. All major credit cards are accepted. If you have any challenges with completing registration after May 1, please email residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu.

  • Pricing

    Pricing is based on registration type: general, graduate student or undergraduate student. All attendees have the option to add the pre-symposium institute to their registration for a flat rate.

    Pricing increases the later you register, and different attendee categories have different base prices.

    The registration timeline is as follows:

    • Early Bird Registration (5/1-7/1)
    • Regular Registration (7/1-9/1)
    • Late Registration (Beginning 9/1)
  • Registration Refund/Cancellation Policy

    Refund requests received before October 14, 2026 will receive a full refund of your order, less any service and processing fees. Refund requests received after October 14, 2026 are not eligible for a refund.

    To cancel a 2026 Residential College Symposium registration and request a refund, a written request must be sent to residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu. Cancellation requests will not be processed over the phone. Exceptions to the cancellation refund policy outlined above will be considered on a case-by-case basis and decisions will be made within 5 business days of the request.

    Attendee substitutions are permitted. Substitutions should be the same member classification so that the payment is an even exchange transfer of payment. To make a substitution, please email residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu.

  • Scholarships

    A limited number of scholarships are open for any Residential College Society member or potential member employed or studying at a higher education institution in need of financial assistance, including those without institutional support for professional development. Please review the terms and eligibility requirements below before applying.

    Terms and Eligibility Requirements:

    • Scholarship applications will open on May 1.
    • Scholarship applications are due by June 5.
    • Applicants will be contacted by June 12 with a decision.
    • Scholarships are open for all registration types: general, graduate student and undergraduate student.
    • Scholarships are limited and not all applicants are guaranteed to receive a scholarship.
    • Scholarships may be awarded as a full or partial scholarship.
    • Applicants who purchase a registration and receive a scholarship are not eligible for a refund.

  • Substitutions

    Substitutions are allowed by individuals within the same institution/company. Substitutes should be the same registration type so that payment is an even exchange transfer of payment.

    Please email information for the substitute attendee to residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu and provide all contact information for both parties including name, title, email address, and order confirmation.
