Unique Advantages to Spending Fall Abroad

Early Spring Registration Opportunity

Time zone differences can make class registration difficult when abroad. However, fall study abroad participants have the exclusive opportunity to enroll early (before their stateside peers) for spring courses!

Less Competition

Popular programs can have capacity issues in the spring. Lower fall enrollment increases the likelihood that you鈥檒l get into your top-choice programs, internships and research placements.

Less Time & Costs

Many European programs run longer in the spring semester and are thus more costly than in the fall semester. Increased tourism in late spring can cause hotel, airfare, food, and incidental costs to be significantly higher.

Better Timing

Use the summer months to prepare for your trip. After your return, spend the spring semester fully preparing for and participating in internships, research positions, and jobs during the following summer.
