VALIANT Innovation Incentive Award

VALIANT offers AI Scholars affiliated with CTTC a supplementary award for completing the disclosure process. Participating in the award program not alter, adjust, or otherwise change the existing IP ownership or licensing obligations.

Eligibility:

  • Current VALIANT AI Scholars.
  • VU/VUMC affiliated inventions disclosed and accepted through the CTTC.
  • The AI Scholar must be the CTTC point of contact for the invention.

Incentive Award:

  • $100 to the AI Scholar who led the disclosure process with a maximum of $100 per invention. 

To submit an invention:  

Using a VU/VUMC network connection, go to and click on For Inventors

Review the invention cycle and click on Invention Disclosure Resources.

Then select Inventor Portal.

Select Add New Disclosure

Type in a title for your invention and select Invention Disclosure.

After the invention disclosure is submitted, you can track your disclosure process with the Inventor Portal under Detailed View.

Work with your CTTC contact to advance your invention to the Accepted review stage.

After your invention is accept, CTTC will reach out to determine  ownership contributions. Indicate VALIANT under the center involvement and submit to complete eligibility. 

Timeline: VALIANT is notified of inventions on a quarterly basis and processes the VALIANT Innovation Incentives on a timely basis.

Additional terms and conditions: VALIANT encourages innovation, exploration, and continuous improvement. The incentive award structure is new and evolving with feedback.
