Drop-In Hour sessions are designed to allow for individual questions that a student may have for the tutor in an informal medium.

Drop-In Hour sessions are capped at 5 students per session hour. If only one student signs up for the Drop-In session, then that session hour may be treated as a regular individual tutoring session. If multiple students show up (up to 5), the tutor has discretion on how to facilitate the full session hour, whether by treating each student鈥檚 question individually or by facilitating the full group in a collaborative exchange.

Drop-In Hour courses for the fall are generally within the 1000-level introductory STEM courses. Additional courses may be available depending on tutor availability. Ask your tutor whether your course can be accommodated for a drop-in session.

• Reserve your appointment with the tutor for the relevant course using聽
• Students who do not reserve their space beforehand online are still encouraged to come as a walk-in and ask the tutor if there is space for them to attend a session.
• All students, regardless of their reservation on our Tutoring Group Schedule, should also sign in with the tutor on the hard copy sign-in sheet.

If you have registered in the Group Schedule online on our scheduling platform, WCOnline, prior to the Drop-In Hour session, you are guaranteed a spot in the tutors鈥� session hour. If you are truly 鈥淒ropping-in鈥� without having registered beforehand, and there is space to accommodate you (i.e., less than five people pre-registered in the Drop-In Hour session) please let the tutor know that you are not registered and ask if there is space to attend.

If the Drop-In Hour is fully booked on our Tutoring Group Schedule, you may still arrive at the session location in-person and tell the tutor on staff that you are on the waitlist should a registered client not show up.

• Drop-In Hours occur in many of our locations, so make note of the location of your reserved spot.

The facilitating tutor has full discretion in the moment to distribute their time effectively throughout the full Drop-In Hour session.

All students, regardless of their reservation on our Tutoring 1-1 Schedule, WCOnline, should also sign in with the tutor on the hard copy sign-in sheet.
